For SmartPath LLC's Trainees Taking more than 30 days to the Exam? - updated 3-26-18

For V6 exam assistance:
This page provides you pointers based on pmWorkbook V6.a. 2018 or V5 (d), (e) or (f) and Workflows if you are still using them.
What it takes to pass the PMP Exam: SmartPath LLC successfully devised a way for you to pass faster. This page is focused on what it takes to pass from the time you start your class, until the time you take the Exam. Many will pass within 15 to 20 days after class, although most are taking about 30 days to the PMP Exam. Slower learners take longer. If you consider yourself a slower learner, make sure you resit the training.
A. Don't count on prior learning. Start with a fresh slate. Don't get information overload and confusion. Stay with the learning that we have provided
B. Review what you learned after class each day and during the lunch hour.
C. Designate enough time over the next 15 to 30 days of your life for intensive learning.
D. Don't do the quizzes to see if you know the knowledge (to test yourself): Do the quiz practice in order to acquire knowledge! It doesn't matter if you get the questions wrong, just that you understood the "why?" of the best answer after getting it wrong.
E. Use cognitive thinking, applying logic and reasoning to every single practice question. F. Don't memorize the information, except for formulas and memory joggers. You cannot apply what you memorize so don't fall into this trap.
G. Take more than one quiz practice iteration; however, finish A to L first before repeating any quizzes: If you don't do your quizzes this way, you will rote learn and you won't be able to pick out answers in the exam, as you need to practice your reasoning and cognitive thinking skills in order to pass. Then focus on areas where you scored lower than 70's. You can even pick any answer, under the question, the keywords, and why the best answer is the best answer. If you understand it then move on to the next question.
H. Understanding 75% or more of your quiz practice and your materials is a comfortable mindset only if your learning was balanced. You can balance your learning by doing all of the A to L quizzes, reviewing your Prep Exercises, learning proportionately within the process groups according to the number of exam questions you will get, understanding your sequences and roles (including change management), knowing your formulas, key acronyms, reviewing your checklist and your Exam Prep section of your materials.
I. Try Studying pmWorkbook from the back to the front.
The Importance Of Accessing Your Learning Before You Take the Exam
The very best way to pass the PMP Exam is to finish your Prep Exercises for project management visibility, and finish all quiz practice. Also pay attention to all areas that we have pointed out in your quiz practice instructions. Please print those instructions. If you can’t find them, we will send you another one. This is a very tough exam. There are no short cuts.
A. If you are not getting 69% on most questions, and high 75 or more on at least 5 of these, you may have a tough time passing: AFGHAIJL. What to do if you are weak in some areas. Study Exercise 1 Solutions, boxes 5,7,8 especially for MC and EX.
B. For V6: Study your Exercise 1 solutions. If you are weak across all areas, then study these solutions for all areas, along with pmWorkbook, Exercise 1 Solutions, Workflows 16 for pages 22 to 68 and Workflows 13 and 11 for the rest.
C. If you are getting lower than 69 to 75 on Quiz I, you may be weak in change management and other roles, so see Workflow 11 for other roles as aligned to the process groups, and for detailed information on change management see the last section of each process group in pmWorkbook. You should also look up flash pages Exercise solutions for change management and roles for the process if you have box 5 and 8 in your Version.
D. If you are weak in Quiz J, see the table of what can go wrong in the processes in the Final Review & Exam Prep portion of your pmWorkbook. E. If you are having difficulty with Quiz L, then ask yourself if you are reading too much into the question. Try picking out key words, or see the answers for clues.
F. If you are having difficulty distinguishing the processes by process groups, copy Workflow # 12, cut up the 49 processes for V6 under the 5 process groups, and see if you can organize them under the right process group.
G. Preparing for the Fuzzy Situational Exam: You can get a very fuzzy exam like quiz L. This quiz practice will prepare you for this type of exam along with Quiz J as the sequential exam can be dished out in a fuzzy exam also.
H. If you have V5 materials, and you're going to take the V6 exams, we highly recommend that you invest in a new set, and take the V6 Online Quiz Practice Subscription to catch up on all of the new areas as there are now 58 processes, 45 roles, and a lot more information in some other areas for the V6 exam.
